Vitaminwater Coco-Refresh Pineapple Coconut
I guess people are still trying to getting into coconut water based beverages. Pineapple with coconut from Vitaminwater! This drink is made with 10% real coconut water and other natural flavors. The sweeteners are crystalline fructose and cane sugar. Also, it contains 880mg of potassium and 31g of sugar with other vitamins. I found this drink in a local Duane Reade store while looking for the Sierra Mist new Strawberry Kiwi Splash drink.
Upon busting the cap, there’s a mixture of pineapple and coconut aroma coming out from the bottle. The color and the texture of this vitaminwater drink looked exactly like the lemonade drink. As for the taste, the first sip tasted lightly sour with coconut hint after you swallow down the sip. After couple more sips, you could sense the light pineapple taste in the sip. When your mouth processes the sip, you greet it by the pineapple flavor first and then end with light coconut water taste. After finishing half of the bottle, you could sense the light tart taste for aftertaste. The drink was smooth and pleasant to drink. Since this drink was made with 10% real coconut water, the taste wasn’t close to the real coconut taste.
The ingredients for this Vitaminwater Coco-Refresh Pineapple Coconut drink include: Reverse osmosis water, crystalline fructose and cane sugar (sweeteners), concentrated coconut water, less than 0.5%of mono-potassium phosphate and di0potassium phosphate and magnesium lactate and calcium lactate (electrolyte sources), natural flavors, citric acid, pectin, vitamin B5 (calcium pantothenate), Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride), and Vitamin B12.
Overall, the drink wasn’t bad at all if you are into light tastes or not into real true tastes. If you want to taste the real coconut water, then you need to pick some other coconut water based beverage brands or buy a real coconut.
