Victoria’s Kitchen Almond Water Drink

What does LOVE taste like? Well, “Let grandma show you how love tastes!” Recently, I received a case of Almond Water beverage from Victoria’s Kitchen for tasting. The drink is non-alcoholic and gluten free. The founder named his company after his grandmother Victoria and almond water is based on his grandmother’s recipe. According to the founder “This exciting specialty product contains no artificial colors or flavors and no preservatives. Much like a lemonade or sweet ice tea, it is a tasty treat that is perfect for a hot summer day. It can also be used as a mixed in cocktails or to create Almond Water Ice Cubes.”

Upon busting the cap, there’s a lightly sweetened refreshing almond aroma coming out from the bottle and if you smell the aroma after a well shake, you could sense there’s a subtle vinegar scent like in it. The color for this almond water looked close to coconut water beverages or light gray color. The texture was clean and smooth with light carbonation in it. As for the taste, the first sip tasted similar to lightly sweetened water. After couple more sips, you still couldn’t tell if the almond flavor was really in there, but as you kept on sipping it, you could sense the almond scent started to show up in the aftertaste. When your mouth processes the sip, you greeted by the lightly sweet taste first and then end with a subtle lime note. The drink itself was smooth, clean and pleasant to drink. There’s no weird or strong aftertaste.

Overall, I like the taste of this almond water and it does make a difference when you drink it ice cold compare to room temperature. What benefits do you get from drinking this almond water? Well, nothing but love according to Victoria’s Kitchen. My concern is what kind of Almond they used to make this Almond water because there’s a difference between bitter almond and sweet almond even thought they both are part of “LOVE.” Thanks for sending the samples!
