The New Mtn Dew Black Label
Every time I heard someone said Black Label, my brain automatically thinks Johnnie Walker when comes to drinks. Now, Mtn Dew is coming out a new Dew called Black Label, I guess my brain has to adjust a little from now on. The new Dew is set to roll out nationwide in the first quarter of 2016 according to the Mtn Dew Kid and currently is pre-launched at Universities and Colleges. After couple days of searching for it, I finally got one to try out. It’s a Dew with crafted Dark Berry.
Besides the obvious Mtn dew smell, there’s a subtle berry like aroma coming out from the can after you pop it open for the first time. The color and the texture looked similar to Mtn Dew Pitch Black. As for the taste, the very first small sip tasted lightly sweetened with subtle bitter taste at the end after you swallow down the sip and the only way to detect it was to chill the drink first before you start sipping it. However, after couple more sips, it’s difficult to sense the bitter taste at the end, not sure why. Also, at first I thought it tasted close to grape but it wasn’t all grape because there’s actually a berry like taste also existed in the drink. It seems like a mixture of both flavors together because when you process the sip, you greeted by the grape like taste first and then ends with subtle berry like taste. As for the sweet taste, it wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet like other Mtn Dew drinks and there’s a grape like aftertaste left in your mouth after finishing the whole can. By the way, the design on the can is awesome.
