Starbucks Signature Hot Pumpkin Spice Latte Drink

3

The weather is getting cooler and Students are back to school. The fall has arrived and so are the seasonal flavor drinks from Starbucks. One of the signature drinks from Starbucks that caught my eye was the Pumpkin Spice Latte. I never had it before and I’m very curious about the taste when pumpkin mixed with the coffee. So, I figured I’d give it a try whether it consider a healthy beverage or not.

I’m a big fan of hot drinks. So I ordered a grande Hot Pumpkin Spice Latte with no Whipped Cream. When you open the drink cover, you will see the top surface of the drink is covered with a thick layer of yellowish pumpkin syrup and it appears very oily. When you taste it,  it has a very light taste of pumpkin flavor and not so much of the pumpkin smell. Now the question is why it’s so oily?  If you stir the drink a bit and you will notice  as if your drink has combine with curry! The drink is not so sweet and you can smell the fresh aroma of the coffee. It’s a very smooth drink.

After all, the drink is not bad and I’m not too impressed with the flavor. It’s just too oily and the taste of pumpkin flavor is not strong enough. To me, it’s just a regular coffee drink from Starbucks and I’m not sure if I will order it again next time when I go there.

Cool site… I am a religious coffee drinker (and starbucks addict), so I look forward to getting advice and direction from your website.

One thing I would like to see is how to get a good cup of coffee/latte for cheap. My startbucks order of choice is: grande coffee with the 4 pumps of toffee nut syrup with room for cream. Then I add 1/2 inch of cream in it. It tastes so good and a lot like a creamy latte-ish coffee. The best part about it – its about 2.00 dollars. Do you have any advice for a cheap coffee-aholic like me?

    Thanks!

You can buy the Starbucks VIA Instant Coffee. They are selling 3-packs for $2.95. so, each pack will cost less than a dollar. All you have to do is get a cup and hot water from Starbucks. Also, you could buy cheap coffee beans and you grid it yourself, but it requires more work. So in a sense, it doesn’t save you much because time is money:)
