Starbucks Coconut Crème Frappuccino
Another hot and humid day in New York City! After morning exercise, I went into a local Starbucks store just to stay cool and while cooling down inside the store, I picked up a Tall Coconut Crème Frappuccino drink because on the menu it says new and you can’t go wrong with coconut drinks right. By the way, Starbucks said, “We’re throwing a flavor party all summer long and our new Coconut Crème Frappuccino® blended beverage is what’s shaking. So stop by your local Starbucks and get your groove on with this heavenly drink. Mmmmm, let the party begin!”
Since the Coconut Crème Frappuccino drink was topped with whipped cream and toasted coconut flakes, all you could smell was the lightly sweet cream aroma with subtle roasted coconut flakes scent. The color of this Coconut Crème Frappuccino looked pure white and it was similar to coconut flesh. The texture was icy since blended with ice and some how it looked like a pure milk shake drink. As for the taste, the very first sip tasted smooth and pleasant. You could sense the coconut flavor with lightly sweet creamy taste. After couple more sips, the creamy flavor becomes stronger and so was the sweet taste, but they weren’t overly sweetened. Even though the coconut flavor was coming from the coconut-flavored syrup, the flavor didn’t tasted fake at all. Also, the taste stays the same throughout the whole process of tasting which is definitely a plus because some times when the flavor adds on you do not want to continue sipping it. The flavors were balanced very well because none of them dominates the other flavors. There’s no aftertaste for this drink.

Overall, I love this Coconut Crème Frappuccino drink! According to Starbucks Did You Know, “The coconut owes its name to the crew of explorer Vasco de Gama. Upon discovering the brown, hairy husked seed that looked somewhat like a face, the sailors dubbed it “Coco” after a grimacing hobgoblin.”
