Something Natural Sparkling Water Drinks

Natural Sparkling Water! Recently, I received couple samples from Something Natural for tasting and it was quite an experience. According to Something Natural, “We wanted to simplify things. So we set out to create a beverage that was refreshingly simple, using only all-natural ingredients. No fancy gimmicks, no miracle ingredients, no screaming to be noticed. Just ultra pure sparkling water with a touch of delicious fruit flavors.”

Something Natural Sparkling WaterSomething Natural Sparkling Water Black Cherry

The moment you open the bottle, there’s a strong cherry aroma coming out and it was refreshing too. The color and texture were both similar to your regular tap water with the exception of carbonation. As for the taste, the first sip tasted some what cherry because it was very light and the sweet taste was subtle. After couple more sips, the cherry flavor was kind of lost. The half water and half sweet taste kind took over. The more you drink, the more I felt like I was drinking MSG water. After chugging down ¾ of the bottle, you could sense subtle fruity flavor and the flatness of the taste at the end after you swallow down the sip. There’s no aftertaste for this flavor.

Upon busting the cap, there’s a strawberry peach aroma coming out from the stylish bottle and literally you could smell both fruits scents. Again, both color and texture looked the same as your Spring Water with the exception of carbonation. As for the taste, the very first sip didn’t taste anything close to either strawberry or peach flavor at all. It was some sweet and sour taste with subtle fruit hints in the sip. After finishing half bottle, you could sense the light peach flavor in the taste. As for strawberry flavor, it was very difficult to recognize and probably still won’t be able to sense after chugging down two bottles. However, the fruity taste was smooth and easy to drink. There’s no aftertaste for this flavor either.

The aroma coming out from this flavor was refreshing and it’s best smell so far. You could smell the freshness of both blueberry and lemon scents coming out from the bottle. The color and texture looked exactly the same as the previous flavors. As for the taste, the very first sip you could taste the light blueberry flavor and not so much of lemon flavor. After couple more sips, you could tell that the dominate flavor was the blueberry because of the balance in the flavor. When your mouth processes the sip, you first greeted by the blueberry flavor and then ended with the very subtle lemon taste after you swallow it down. By far, this was the flavor that you could actually taste what it says on the bottle label. The taste was smooth and pleasant to drink. There’s no aftertaste for this flavor as well.

There’s no distinguish aroma coming out from the bottle when you open it for the first time. At first, it just smelled like regular Sprite drink or any other sparkling drinks. However, after you sniff it around the bottle opening for few seconds, you could actually sense the light grapefruit scent. I think I was sniffing like a dog looking for food. The color and texture were the same as previous three flavors. As for the taste, the first sip tasted just like any regular flavor less sparkling water. After couple more sips, you still couldn’t taste the grapefruit flavor in the drink. The sweet and subtle tart tastes weren’t that bad and it was interesting taste. There was fruit hints in the taste but not sure exactly what kind of fruit. After finishing half bottle, there’s no sign of grapefruit showing up at all and it just like the previous flavors in terms of how easy and smooth the taste was. There’s no aftertaste for this flavor.

Something Natural Sparkling Water Pink Grapefruit

The ingredients for all four Something Natural Sparkling Water flavors are the same and it’s Purified Sparkling Water, Cane sugar, Citric Acid, Natural Flavor, Malic Acid and Stevia. It contains 30 calories and 7g of sugar.

Overall, the tastes were good if you don’t mind what the flavors were suppose to be and if you like light fruity flavor sparkling drinks, then this Something Natural might be it for you. Personally, I wish the flavors in the drink were more sensible or at least I can taste the flavors so that I can enjoy it more. Blueberry Lemon was the best flavor among the four flavors. Thank you for sending the samples!

I am overly sensitive to any sweetener, and am less than impressed with this bubbly drink. I am always on the lookout for a water that is flavored naturally, and a bubbly one is appreciated, but I am not impressed by this one. As much as stevia claims to not taste like artificial sweeteners, it still leaves that sickeningly sweet taste in my mouth. I am not impressed. I’m sorry I spent $1.49 on this drink.

Adding to that, it did not taste like blueberry or lemon at all. I am very unimpressed.
