Sierra Mist Natural Strawberry Kiwi Splash
Made with real sugar and caffeine free! The newest flavor Strawberry Kiwi Splash from Sierra Mist was launched couple weeks ago. It’s primarily a lemon-lime soda with natural flavors. There are no artificial additives or preservatives in the ingredients. By the way, Sierra Mist Natural is a product of Purchase, N.Y based Pepsi-Cola North America Beverages.
Upon busting the cap, there’s a lightly sweetened strawberry aroma coming out from the 2 liter bottle and it smelled slightly fruitier than the Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash. You had to sniff it for couple seconds to tell the subtle difference. The color and the texture were the same as regular Sierra Mist Lemon Lime drink. As for the taste, the first couple sips were difficult to sense the flavors and all you could recognize was the lemon lime taste. As you kept on sipping it, the sweet taste started to add up and the flavors still did not show up. After finishing two small cups of this Sierra Mist, you still had this 50/50 feeling of whether the flavors were there or not. After awhile, when your mouth processes the sip, you could sense the subtle light strawberry flavor in the beginning and lemon lime taste shows up after you swallow down the sip. After stopping for couple seconds and then went back to tasting, you could sense the kiwi taste was subtle as well and it showed up at aftertaste.
The ingredients for this Sierra Mist Natural Strawberry Kiwi Splash include: Carbonated Water, Sugar, Citric Acid, Natural Flavor, and Potassium Citrate. As for this 2 Liter size, it contains 840 calories, 222g of sugar and 210mg of Sodium. No wonder New York wants to ban the large size carbonated drinks.
Overall, the taste wasn’t that much of a big difference compares to the Lemon Lime flavor. This drink is a bit too sweet for me personally. It says no artificial ingredients, but what exactly natural flavors did they put in.
