SoBe Pure Water! Finally I found the pure! Currently, there are three flavors:  Golden Pineapple, Black Cherry and the one that I couldn’t find at the Target store which is Watermelon. It’s “Water + a drop of flavor + electrolytes for taste.” There are no colors, no calories, no preservatives and no artificial sweeteners according to the print on the bottle. The bottle design is same as the SoBe Lifewater, but the labels are clearer than the Lifewater.

New SoBe Pure Water drink Golden Pineapple

Upon opening the bottle, there’s a pineapple similar aroma coming out and it disappears fast too. Even thought it says natural flavors on the bottle, but the scent wasn’t natural at all. The color and texture for this SoBe Pure looked exactly the same as your tap water or Spring Water that you drink every day. Also, it looked close to filtered tap water. The very first sip tasted lightly sweetened tap water. After couple more sips, you could sense the subtle unsure pineapple flavor in the drink. There’s a subtle tart taste at the end after you swallow down your sip. As you drink more, the so called pineapple flavor started to show up more and you could tell it’s not exactly as natural as you would expected. However, it’s easy and smooth to drink. After you finish half bottle of SoBe Pure, the half sweet and half tart taste turned out wasn’t that bad at all.

New SoBe Pure Water drink Black Cherry

The cherry aroma coming out from the bottle was stronger than the previous Golden Pineapple when you open the bottle for the first time. Not only it’s stronger, but also smelled more like cherry flavor. Also, it’s similar to Vitaminwater cherry flavored drinks. The color and the texture were both the same as the previous Golden Pineapple flavor. As for the taste, the first sip tasted very light in terms of the cherry flavor with subtle sweet taste. Also, the cherry flavor tasted more real than the Golden Pineapple flavor. As you drink more, your mouth gets a bit of dryness feeling and when you swallow down the sip, you could sense the subtle tart taste.

The ingredients for New SoBe Pure Water beverages include:  Water, Erythritol, Natural Flavor, Citric Acid, Calcium Lacitate, Potassium Citrate, Sea Salt (Sodium Chloride, Potassium Chloride), REB A (Purified Stevia Extract), Tartaric Acid, Lactic Acid.

Overall, I like the black cherry flavor more than the Golden Pineapple based on how close to the natural taste they were. I couldn’t find the third flavor of their new Sobe Pure water drinks and watermelon is one of my favorite fruits. Again, these new SoBe Pure are only available at the Target and limited time too. So if you want to try it out, go there and grab one.
