New Crystal Light Liquid Drink Mix
Introducing Crystal Light Liquid! I guess Kraft Foods did very well on Mio and now they are using the same concept for their Crystal Light product line. According to their website, “Crystal Light was born in 1982 with only three flavors. Today, it is available in more than 30 refreshing flavors and comes in a variety of convenient forms, including both on the go, single serve packets and convenient 2qt pitcher packs!” My question is Drinking experience more important than the taste itself?
Crystal Light Liquid Mango Passion fruit
There was a light fruity aroma coming out from the bottle when you lift up the cap and if you sniff it for couple seconds, you could sense there’s a light mango scent. As for the taste, you really couldn’t taste the true flavor unless you squeeze it five or six times into the water. It’s the same amount of squeezes that you use for Mio Liquid Water Enhancer. As for the color of the drink, it looked like Bloody Mary drink. AS for the taste, the first sip actually tasted sweet with subtle tart taste at the end after you swallow it down the sip. After couple more sips, it tasted like fruit punch but not exactly the real true fruit punch taste. As you drink more, there’s a sharp tartness feeling in your mouth after you swallow down the sip. Also, you couldn’t really sense the mango flavor in the drink, but the sourness of the Passion fruit was definitely there. The dryness feeling for the aftertaste wasn’t that great.
Crystal Light Liquid Iced Tea
The aroma coming out from the bottle wasn’t exactly the same as what I had expected in my mind based on my previous experiences with iced tea beverages. You could tell that it did contained similar iced tea scent after you sniff it for couple seconds, but it wasn’t like natural iced tea scent. However, the color of the drink did look the same as regular iced tea drinks. As for the taste, if you just add one or two squeezes into the water, you will not be able to taste anything. So I added five or six squeezes of iced tea into the New York City Tap Water and the first taste was not that convincing but it was good enough to tell the iced tea flavor. When your mouth processes the sip, you greeted by the lightly sweetened tea flavor first and then end with subtle tart taste after you swallow it down. After couple sips, you could tell it’s an artificial iced tea drink. Also, the dryness feeling that you get on top of your tongue will be another indication of not natural drink. The sweet taste tasted similar to MSG.
The ingredients for this Crystal Light Liquid Iced Tea include: Water, Citric Acid, Propylene Glycol, Malic Acid, Contains less than 2% of natural flavor, Sucralose and Acesulfame Potassium (Sweeteners), Potassium Citrate, RED 40, Blue 1, Yellow 5 and Potassium Sorbate (oreservative).

Overall, I like the taste of Mango Passion fruit better than the Iced Tea. Also, the experience of drinking crystal light liquid is a lot better than the packets. I think Mio tasted better than Crystal light even though they all have similar ingredients.
