Mtn Dew White Label
Last year I reviewed Mtn Dew Black Label and the taste was pretty good. You can read about it here. As for this year, it’s the Mtn Dew White Label for now, not sure when Mtn Dew Green Label will be out in the market. Currently, Mountain Dew White Label is only available in certain parts of the country. This White Label is crafted with tropical citrus and other natural flavors. The other obvious difference when comparing to the Black Label besides the color of the can, would be the Dew itself. The White Label provides with Mysteriously Exotic Dew where as the Black Label uses the Deeper Darker Dew. Personally, I like the Black Label can better because of the color combination looked more appealing than the other one.
As for the aroma, besides the obvious Mtn Dew smell, there’s a subtle refreshing citrus like aroma come along with it after you open it. The color of the drink looked similar to coconut water related beverages that’s out there on the market. As for the taste, the very first sip tasted closed to diet version of the original Mtn dew. Its difficult to detect the true citrus flavor in the first couple tastes, but you could sense the subtle tart taste at the end. Then after few more sips, you could sense a subtle bitter aftertaste, not sure how but it’s there. At this point, I said to myself maybe I’m drinking lemon lime related drinks. After awhile, when the flavors started to add up, you could sense the not so convincing citrus flavor. If you waited for all the carbonation to leave from the drink and try it again, it definitely tasted better in terms of detecting the sweet taste but not so much of the tropical citrus flavor. Personally, I like the taste of the Black Label.
