Mountain Dew Game Fuel Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Drinks

Finally I got the Mountain Dew Game Fuel 2011 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 drinks. This year, the return of Mountain Dew Game Fuel comes with two flavors: Citrus Cherry and a brand new Tropical flavor. The labels for both flavors featured a picture of in game character’s face shot. As you may already know Mountain Dew partnered with Activision Publishing to give the fans the chance to “Rank Up Your Game with Double XP” and you can earn the “Double XP” by redeeming codes from Mountain Dew products.

Upon busting the cap, the aroma coming out from the bottle was similar to regular Mountain Dew drinks with a subtle lime scent. The color of this Mountain Dew Game Fuel drink looked just like the green oil coming out from your car. The texture was just the same as other carbonated drinks. As for the taste, I was expecting the taste to be crisp, but it turns out to be a bit oily and tastes like regular Mountain Dew in a way. There’s a hint of lime, but it was hard to sense it. As for the tropical flavors, there weren’t any that you could recognize through out the tasting process. After chugging down half bottle, the flavor was more toward lime flavor than tropical flavors and the sweet taste wasn’t overly sweetened. As for aftertaste, there might be a thin layer of green color on top of your tongue. By the way, some how in a way by drinking this Tropical flavor reminds me of the green giant Hulk.

There’s a light cherry aroma coming out from the bottle with subtle citrus scent when you pop open the bottle for the first time. The color of this Game Fuel 2011 Citrus Cherry wasn’t close to the exact dark red cherry color and it was more like a mixture of orange and red. The texture was the same as the previous flavor. As for the taste, the first couple sips tasted not much different from the regular Mountain Dew drinks. The cherry flavor was very light and it was difficult to detect in the beginning. Only after chugging down half of the bottle, you could sense the so called citrus cherry flavor. It was more like fruity candy taste. When your mouth processes the sip, you greeted by the subtle tart taste first and then ended with light sweet fruity taste.

Overall, I like the tastes of both Mountain Dew Game Fuel 2011 flavors even though it didn’t taste exactly like what it stated on the label. However, I will stick with Mountain Dew Pitch Black. If you are a Mountain Dew fan, then you might want to try them out because they are only available for limited time only. For those who play the game and want Double XP, I have the code under both caps. The code for tropical flavor is 77YL97LMNN and the code for Citrus Cherry is Y7KHNSLLFA. Enjoy the Double XP!
