Kraft MiO Liquid Water Enhancer
Everyone is talking about Kraft’s Mio Water Enhancer and I’ve tried their two sample flavors before. I thought I should give it another try of their other flavors since the result of trying their two samples wasn’t that bad. So, I picked up another three flavors from Target and they are Berry Pomegranate, Sweet Tea and Fruit Punch. For now I’m not sure how this MiO product line is going to be later on and how this new product is going to help Kraft food, but they are doing a lot of marketing for sure.
Kraft MiO Liquid Water Enhancer-Berry Pomegranate
You could smell the dense Berry Pomegranate aroma from the bottle only if you sniff it around the opening where they squeeze out the liquid and it smells pretty nice. The color of the liquid is close to the color on the bottle that represents Berry Pomegranate and the texture is similar to those colored liquid that makes artificial flavored drinks. After you mix it with water with one squeeze which is what MiO suggested, it’s hard to recognize the true Berry Pomegranate flavor unless you put another squeeze into your water. Also, the flavor scent becomes more natural after you mixed with water. With one squeeze you can only taste a bit of fruity sweet kind of flavor, but after couple squeeze, the flavor can taste more like grape flavor in the beginning. As you drink more, you can sense a subtle berry pomegranate flavor in the water after you swallow down the sip. However, even though the scent was more natural, but the taste wasn’t even close to natural fruity flavors. The aftertaste was feeling dryness in the mouth.
Kraft MiO Liquid Water Enhancer – Sweet Tea
The aroma coming out from this slick rain drop shape plastic bottle is not strong and you could hardly sense the tea aroma. What you have to do is to sniff like a dog again around the bottle opening area. The color of the liquid is close to dark orange and the texture is as other MiO flavors. Even thought the flavor says sweet tea, but it only comes with a subtle sweet scent when you smell it. For this flavor, you have to put two squeezes as well into your water if you want to taste the flavor. The first couple sips tasted similar to lightly sweetened sugar water and it has no sign of tea what so ever. As you drink more or like me who doesn’t want to wait, you could put another squeeze in it and the tea flavor starts to show up in your sips. The tea flavor is some what close to other sweet tea that you drink, but if you compare to southern iced tea, then this sweet tea would be out of the league. Also, the sweetness is just not there, but it’s good enough to enjoy it. As for aftertaste, it’s same as the previous flavors.
Kraft MiO Liquid Water Enhancer – Fruit Punch
The fruit punch flavor’s aroma is a bit stronger than the sweet tea aroma when both opened for the first time. The color is well matched with the color on the bottle and text is same as other flavors. After you mixed with the water, you can still smell the fruit punch flavor and it smells nice as well. By now you know that you have to put two squeezes or more in order for you to taste the true flavor taste. Anyway, the first sip tasted all sour and stuff. There mighty be a subtle fruity flavor, but it’s hard to recognize it. After few sips, the sweet and sour taste starts to show up in your mouth after you swallow your sips down. As you drink more, the fruity flavor gets better and better. The balance between sweet, sour and fruity taste was very well touched. Now, you can’t compare to the fruit punch drinks that you get from supermarket containers because it’s not even close, but it does the job to allow you to taste the fruit punch like flavor. The aftertaste is all the same for MiO flavors.
