KarmaLife Coconut Water

I received few samples of coconut water drinks from KarmaLife Coconut water last week. As you know, I’ve tried many different brand coconut water beverages in the past and they were all similar in one way or the other, but this Karma Life Coconut Water is some what different than others. KarmaLife uses premium Indian Coconut water with Kokum berry extract. As for the benefits, they are all containing Potassium, Magnesium, Sodium, Phosphorus and Calcium. Also, there’s no fat, no cholesterol, no refined sugars, no added sweeteners, no preservative or no artificial flavor in their coconut water drinks.

Upon popping the cap, there’s a lightly vanilla like aroma coming out from the bottle and it was definitely different than all the coconut water beverages I’ve tried so far in terms of the scent. I was expecting it to be just like any other coconut water beverage. What a surprise! The color of this vanilla flavor coconut water looked very light brown and the texture was the same as other coconut water drinks. As for the taste, I didn’t know what to expect since the aroma was different. The very first sip tasted lightly sweet coconut water with subtle vanilla flavor. As you drink more, the salty taste started to come up and got stronger later on, but it did not take over the coconut water flavor. The combination of those tastes were balanced well enough to make the drink smooth, clean and pleasant to drink The vanilla flavor wasn’t that appealing in the beginning, but it gets better as you continue on sipping. There’s a bit of sweet and salty tastes left in the mouth for the aftertaste.

The aroma coming out from the bottle was definitely smelled like mint and it was pretty mild too. The color and the texture were both the same as the previous Vanilla flavor. As for the taste, the first sip you could taste the mint and coconut water with subtle tea flavor. After couple more sips, the mint flavor got stronger and the coconut water becomes the supporting role for this flavor. The green tea flavor was very subtle through out the whole tasting process. The sweet and salty tastes weren’t as strong as the tastes in vanilla flavor which makes a lot easier to drink. The mint and coconut water were half and half in terms of the whole taste. When your mouth processes the sip, first you greeted by the mint flavor, then the coconut water. There’s a bit of dryness feeling in the mouth for the aftertaste.

After you open the bottle for the first time, the aroma coming out was very light and you had to sniff around the bottle opening for couple seconds in order for you to smell the scent. To me the aroma smelled similar to the Chinese dried sour plum snack food that you buy from your local Asian supermarket. The color and the texture were the same as the previous flavors. As for the taste, it was lighter then the previous flavors as well. As you drink more, the sweet taste seems to be taken over the salty taste a bit. However, it was lighter than the sweet and salty taste in the vanilla flavor. As for the natural flavor, I assume it’s the natural coconut water, but it seems they added too much berry extract and it took over the natural part. It didn’t quite taste like natural coconut water if you compare to other brand coconut water beverages that are out there in the market today, but it tasted pretty good some how.

Karma Life Coconut Water Beverages

Overall, the Karma Life coconut water flavors were pretty tasty and if I had to pick one, then it would be the Natural Flavor. It would be better if they are less salty. Also, the label design on the bottle is too much because too many things are going on the label. It would be better if they could just keep it sample. Anyway, these flavors are totally different than what I had tried in the past, but some times being different is not a bad thing. If you like coconut water beverages, you might want to try out Karma Life Coconut Water. Taste the difference! Thanks for sending the samples, Karma Life Coconut Water!

I tried the vanilla and mojito flavors and could not finish either one due to the high lvls a salt. I honestly thought that half of it was ocean water. Will not buy again.
