Gatorade G Series Thirst Quencher Cool Blue Cherry
I passed by a 7-Eleven store with a friend yesterday and I saw a sign that says “$3.00 for Two New Gatorade G-Series Limited Edition Flavor Cool Blue Cherry drink.” We thought it wasn’t a bad deal. So, we went into the store and grabbed the last two bottles from the freezer. On the bottle label it stated “Natural and Artificial flavor,” but when you look at the ingredients, everything seems artificial besides the water.
There wasn’t any cherry like aroma coming out from the bottle after you open it for the first time and it smelled just like any other Gatorade G-Series drinks. The texture was same as other Gatorade drinks as well. As for the taste, the first couple sips tasted just like your regular Gatorade beverages and I thought I was drinking lemon lime flavored Gatorade. After chugging down one third of the bottle, when your mouth processes the sip, you could sense the subtle cherry like note at the end of your tongue after you swallow down the sip. Also, there’s the light tart and sweet taste at the end as well. The so called Cherry flavor was difficult to recognize because of the light taste. As for the aftertaste, the top side of your tongue will become blue.
The ingredients for this Gatorade G Series Perform Thirst Quencher Cool Blue Cherry include: Water, Sucrose, Dextrose, Citric Acid, Natural and Artificial Flavor, Salt, Sodium Citrate, Monopotassium Phosphate, Modified Food Starch, Glycerol Ester of Rosin and Blue 1. It contains about 200 calories for this 32 fl oz container.
Overall, the taste wasn’t bad at all if you don’t mind the inconvincible cherry flavor. Some how after finishing the whole bottle of the drink, I still think I was drinking lemon lime flavored Gatorade drink.
