Do you want an iced coffee drink that tastes like cookies and cream? Well, whether you like it or not, Dunkin Donuts has introduced an iced coffee drink that was inspired by Men In Black 3 called Black Cocoa Crème Iced Coffee. Basically, the coffee drink depends on the naturally, artificially and presweetened Black Cocoa Crème Syrup. Besides the new drink, Dunkin Donuts also offers undercover Black Cocoa donut. Who do you think should try the undercover black cocoa donut?

Before all the ice cubes started to melt, the aroma for this Black Cocoa Crème Iced Coffee smelled lightly sweetened with pleasant mild coffee scent. Also, you could see the black cocoa crème swirl syrup at the bottom of the cup before you mix it up with the ice and the coffee. The color of the whole iced coffee drink changed to dark brown after you stir it up. By the way, the Dunkin Donuts employee asked me if I want to add some sugar to the drink, I told her no because the Black Cocoa Crème syrup was presweetened. Anyway, the first couple sips tasted light and it wasn’t that exciting even thought I had the inclination for darkness. After few more sips and stirring up the drink a bit, it tasted like mocha and there’s no way that this drink tastes like cookie. When your mouth process the sip, you greeted by the combination of light coffee taste with light sweet creamy taste and ends with subtle bitter taste after you swallow down the sip. The drink itself tasted smooth and clean. There wasn’t any whole lot of chocolate milk flavor or creamy milk taste in the drink until you had actually chugged down half of the drink.

The ingredients for this New Dunkin Donuts Men In Black 3 Inspired Black Cocoa Crème Iced Coffee include: Brewed 100% Arabica Coffee, Black Cocoa Creme Swirl Syrup [High Fructose Corn Syrup, Sugar, Cocoa processed with alkali, Water, Natural and Artificial Flavors (Milk), Citric Acid, Salt, Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), Caramel Color]. CONTAINS ALLERGENS: Milk.

Overall, I guess it all depends on how the Dunkin Donuts staff makes the drink. I think the drink itself was not bad if you don’t mind the cocoa crème taste. However, it did not live up to the “Tastes like Cookies N Cream” expectation. If you are a regular coffee drinker then you might want to give this one a try. By the way, I didn’t even get the new straws that were supposed to come with the drink.

After trying Lemon and Strawberry flavors, I thought I should give it another shot for Poland Spring Nature’s Blends and I hope it will not be disappointing like the last time. Anyway, I got these three new Nature’s Blends flavors from a local Bj’s store and they were giving out samples for people to try them out. So I grabbed a variety pack because it’s cheaper than buying one by one. “At last, Great Tasting Refreshment you can enjoy all day. Poland Spring brings you a delicious combination of natural spring water, real juice and pure cane sugar for a crisp, clean taste experience.” You can check out the previous two flavors here.

Poland Spring Nature’s Blends Mango Peach Juice Drink

There’s a strong fruity aroma coming out from the bottle when you first popped it open and the Mango aroma was a bit heavier than the peach. It reminds me of Vitaminwater when you smell it. The color and the texture of this Mango Peach Poland Spring Nature’s Blends looked similar to orange flavored Vitaminwater. As for the taste, the first sip tasted half water and half fruity. There wasn’t any obvious flavor that you could tell immediately after you had a sip. The drink tasted lightly sweet with subtle tart taste after you swallow down the sip. After couple more sips, you could sense the light Mango flavor but not much of peach flavor. After finishing half bottle, the Mango flavor was dominating all the way through and the Peach flavor was playing the supporting role. Also, the flavor tasted lighter than Vitaminwater beverages. The drink itself was pleasant and easy to drink. There wasn’t much of aftertaste for this flavor.

Poland Spring Nature’s Blends Raspberry Juice Drink

The Raspberry aroma coming out from the bottle was refreshing and it was totally pure Raspberry scent. The color for the drink was close to Raspberry color and the texture was just same as Poland Spring water with out the color. Since it’s water mixed with Real juice, the taste was expected to be light after trying the Mango Peach flavor, but the Raspberry flavor had a heavier tart taste than the Mango Peach flavor. You could taste the Raspberry flavor in the first couple sips. The sweet and sour tastes were balanced well enough for you to experience the Raspberry flavor. Also, the flavor did not add up after chugging down half of the bottle and it tasted similar to Vitaminwater. The aftertaste for this flavor was a bit stronger than the Mango Peach flavor.

Poland Spring Nature’s Blends Acai-Grape Juice Drink

The Grape aroma coming out from the bottle was strong after you pop it open. The color for this flavor looked close to Pomegranate fruit color. Again, the texture was the same as the previous flavors. As for the taste, the first sip tasted watery as expected and the grape flavor was light as well. After couple more sips, it seemed the flavor was lighter than Vitaminwater beverages. Also, the tartness taste wasn’t as strong as the previous flavors. The grape flavor was like the touch of seasoning that you put on your food to make it not tasteless. Even after chugging down half of the bottle, the grape flavor was just as subtle as your first sip. When your mouth processes the sip, you greeted by the light grape flavor and ends with subtle tart taste after you swallow down the sip. The aftertaste for this flavor was not even close to the other Nature’s blends flavors.

The ingredients for Poland Spring Nature’s Blends Mango Peach Juice Drink include: Spring Water, Pure Cane sugar, White Grape Juice Concentrate, Mango Juice Concentrate, Natural Flavors, Citric Acid, Beta Carotene (For color), Ascorbic Acid (for Tartness).
The ingredients for Poland Spring Nature’s Blends Raspberry Juice Drink include: Spring Water, Pure Cane sugar, White Grape Juice Concentrate, Raspberry Juice Concentrate, Natural Flavors, Citric Acid, Fruit and Vegetable Juice (for color).
The ingredients for Poland Spring Nature’s Blends Acai-Grape Juice Drink include: Spring Water, Pure Cane sugar, White Grape Juice Concentrate, Natural Flavors, Citric Acid, Fruit and Vegetable Juice (For color).

Overall, the flavors tasted good but it did not tasted like it was mixed with real juice. It was more like powder drinks. If you like light fruity flavored drinks, then you might want to try these Nature’s Blends drinks from Poland Spring. If I need to pick one out of these three flavors, I’d pick Mango Peach because you can’t go wrong with mango.

What is Pepsi Next? Well, it’s a cola drink with “Real Cola Taste and 60% less sugar” according to Pepsi. If you are a regular soda drinker, do you really care about how many calories are there in a soda before you drink it? If someone cares about the calories, I think they would just grab a diet soda drink instead. So, this mid-range calories soda drink is for non-regular soda drinks? By the way, Pepsi Next was launched couple days ago nation wide and I think the design was some what appealing when you compare it to other Pepsi designs.

The aroma coming out from the can was very light and you had to sniff around the opening for couple seconds in order for you to smell the Pepsi aroma. The color for the Pepsi Next looked exactly the same as your regular Pepsi soda drink and same for the texture. The carbonation seemed to be about the same as well. As for the taste, the very first sip tasted just like any other Pepsi soda drinks, but after couple more sips, you could sense the sweet taste was lighter than the regular Pepsi. It seems the “60% less sugar” statement on the can was true. In the beginning, the taste was close to diet Pepsi, but after chugging down half of the 12 fl oz can, you could tell it didn’t taste like diet Pepsi because of the light sweet taste with slightly stronger cola flavor. Also, you could recognize the artificial sweetener taste as well. The aftertaste wasn’t as strong as the regular Pepsi drinks.

The ingredients for this New Pepsi Next include: Carbonated Water, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Caramel Color, Natural Flavor, Phosphoric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Caffeine, Potassium Sorbate (Preserves Freshness), Aspartame, Citric Acid, Acesulfame Potassium and Cucralose. Phenylketonurics: Contains Phenylalanine. It also contains 60 calories, 60mg of sodium, 15g of sugar and 43mg of caffeine.

Overall, the Pepsi Next tasted good. You can’t really say it’s healthy but it’s slightly better than the regular Pepsi drinks in terms of the calories and amount of sugar in the drink. Now days, everyone is watching what they are eating and drinking and even TV is advertising not to drink so drinks. So, I’m not sure how this mid-range calorie drink will do this time because last time Pepsi pull their Pepsi Edge from shelves.

Last summer, Crystal Light introduced its three Mocktail flavors: Margarita, Mojito and Appletini. Now, Crystal Light is expanding its Mocktails product line with the addition of two new limited-edition Pomtini and Peach Bellini flavors. The other day, Kraft Foods sent me a sample of Pomtini and Peach Bellini Mocktails for tasting. In the package, it also comes with five cocktail umbrellas that represents each of the flavors and a glass pitcher. To those who are not familiar with Crystal Light Mocktails, “It only contains 5 calories per serving and mix-up easily without the hassle of muddling limes, blending ice or using a cocktail strainer. Just add water, mix it up and toast to the flavor you love! Crystal Light Mocktails are available in multi-serve canisters with five 2-quart pitcher packs so there is always enough to share.” By the way, this Sunday, March 25th at 9pm Eastern Time, contestants on NBC’s The Celebrity Apprentice show will compete to introduce the new flavors to the masses.

New Crystal Light Mocktail Pomtini

Upon opening the Pomtini packet, there’s a subtle fruity aroma coming out from the packet along with the dry dusty air and it smelled similar to margarita drinks that I had before. If you sniff it for couple more seconds, you could sense the subtle pomegranate scent from the Pomtini packet and the color of the powder in side the packet was close to light purple. After mixing with 8 cups of cold water, the color for this Pomtini flavor turned to red, the texture looked like Vitaminwater and the smell of cocktail drinks was gone. As for the taste, the very first sip tasted lightly sweetened and it has a light fruity taste to it. After couple more sips, you could recognize the light pomegranate flavor, but not very convincing. It’s more like a fruity juice drink. Even though the flavor did not stay long enough for you to fully sense it but it was pleasurable enough to drink it. After chugging down two cups of this Pomtini drink, you could sense it has a cocktail drink taste to it and at the same time the dryness aftertaste started to increase. By the way, you couldn’t tell if this drink was made from dissolving powder.

New Crystal Light Mocktail Peach Bellini

You could smell the lightly sweetened peach aroma coming out from the packet after you tear it open and it smelled a lot more pleasant than the mocktail Pomtini. The color of the powder was almost pure white, but it changes to pink color as you pour cold water into it. The texture for this Peach Bellini looked same as the above Pomtini flavor after mixing it with water and same result for the cocktail smell as well. As for the taste, I was expecting something similar to peach, but the very first sip turned out to be different because there’s no sign of peach what so ever and it was more like fake sweet taste with subtle tart taste. After couple more sips, the sour tasted got stronger and the whole taste becomes a mixture of sweet and sour taste with hint of fruity flavors. As you drink more, the dryness aftertaste becomes heavy as well. The peach flavor was not even close to sense or recognizes it until after chugging two cups of the drink. However, it was clean, smooth and pleasant to drink. Also, it has a fake cocktail drink taste to it as well.

Overall, both flavors tasted great! If you have to pick one, then I would pick the Peach Bellini because it just tasted better than the other one. If you have tried previous Crystal Light Mocktail flavors, then you might want to consider try these two new flavors if you had no problem with the previous flavors. Always check the ingredients first. Thanks for sending the samples, Kraft Food!

Ladies and Gentlemen, May I have your Attention please…There’s a New Vitaminwater drink called Attention on the market right now and its flavor is Fuji Apple-Watermelon combined with other natural flavors. Why they call it Attention? Well, it contains 87mg of caffeine and 15g of Glucose to help you focus. On the label it stated “Now you can try focusing on the things that you actually want to focus on like, why the heck did she unfriend me?” By the way, the label for this Attention looked almost same as the Vitaminwater Connect label.

Upon busting the cap, there’s a lightly sweetened apple aroma coming out from the bottle but there was no sign of watermelon scent in the aroma. The color for this Vitaminwater Attention looked similar to the Pomegranate fruit color and the texture was the same as other regular Vitaminwater beverages. As for the taste, the very first sip tasted similar to lightly sweetened apple juice with a subtle tart taste at the end after you swallow down the sip. After couple sips, the apple flavor started to appear but it was still difficult to truly to taste it. When your mouth processes the sip, you first greeted by the light apple flavor and then ended with a subtle hint of melon sort of taste. You will not be able to recognize the convincing apple flavor until you had actually chugged down half of the drink and the effect of caffeine started to kick in as well. Even thought this Attention contains caffeine, it still tasted smooth, clean and pleasant to drink. There’s no obvious aftertaste from this Vitaminwater Attention.

The ingredients for this Glaceau Vitaminwater Attention Fuji Apple Watermelon include: Reverse Osmosis Water, Dextrose (d-glucose), cane sugar, Less than 0.5% of: natural flavors, citric acid, Vitamin C (ascorbic acid), Fruit and vegetable juice (for color), natural caffeine, magnesium iactate and calcium lactate and potassium phosphate (electrolyte sources), rebiana (Stevia Extract), Vitamin B5 (calcium pantothenate), Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride), and Vitamin B12. It contains 120 calories, 31g of sugar, 15g of glucose and 87mg of Caffeine per bottle.

Overall, Apple was the main flavor in this Vitaminwater Attention drink and I did get some “Attention” after finishing the whole 20fl oz bottle. You couldn’t really tell if this Vitaminwater Attention contains any caffeine until you have tried it. The flavor was not bad at all if you are used to Vitaminwater drinks and don’t get too much hope on finding the watermelon flavor in this Attention drink because you will not find it. I think they should just put Fuji Apple instead of Fuji Apple-watermelon.

70 degrees in New York City right now! Spring has arrived? Anyway, I went to Pathmark today and found two new Lightly Sweetened All Natural Snapple fruity tea flavors on their shelves. On the bottle it states, “The best stuff in life is sweet. But not too sweet. And that’s what you’ll find inside this bottle: the Best Stuff on Earth, lightly sweetened. All natural, refreshing white tea with just a touch of sugar and 80 calories per bottle. Yea okay, that is pretty sweet.” Let’s find out!

New Lightly Sweetened All Natural Snapple Peach Passionfruit Tea

Upon busting the cap, there’s light fruity aroma coming out from the glass bottle and it was difficult to recognize what exactly the flavors were in the beginning. After couple seconds of sniffing around the bottle opening, the light peach scent started to appear. The color for this Lightly Sweetened All Natural Snapple flavor was in very light yellow color and the texture was the same as your regular water. As for the taste, the very first sip tasted similar to lightly sweetened water beverages. After couple more sips, you could sense its light sweet and tart tastes from the sip and you still couldn’t tell what the flavors were supposed to be. After chugging down half bottle of the drink, there’s a subtle hint of peach flavor when your mouth processes the sip and I think the tart taste that you sense after swallowing down the sip would be the passion fruit flavor. Also, the tea flavor was subtle as well. There’s not much of aftertaste for this flavor.

New Lightly Sweetened All Natural Snapple Cherry Pomegranate Tea

The aroma coming out from the bottle was light as well for this flavor when you first pop it open. Again, you have to sniff around the opening for couple seconds in order for you to sense the light cherry scent. The color for this flavor looked exactly the same as the previous Peach Passionfruit tea flavor and same for the texture as well. As for the taste, you could sense the light cherry flavor right away in the first sip. When your mouth processes the sip, you greeted by the light cherry first and ended with subtle tea flavor after you swallow down the sip. After you finish half of the bottle, you could sense the subtle pomegranate flavor for aftertaste as well. This fruity tea drink tasted smooth and it was pleasant to drink. The whole light fruity flavor tasted great and it’s sort of as you were drinking light cherry tea.

The ingredients for New Lightly Sweetened All Natural Snapple Peach Passionfruit Tea and New Lightly Sweetened All Natural Snapple Cherry Pomegranate Tea flavors are the same. Both were made from: Filtered Water, Sugar, Citric Acid, White Tea, Acerola Fruit Extract and Natural Flavors. Each bottle contains 80 calories, 10g of sodium and 18g of sugars.

Overall, both flavors tasted great. For those who like to drink light flavor drinks, these are definitely for you if you are not allergic to any of the flavors mentioned in the drinks. I love the way how the tea flavor was almost gone or you couldn’t sense it when you were drinking it.

I tried Sabor Nuestro Limon Pepino two months ago and it turned out the taste wasn’t that bad all. So, this time I got Sabor Nuestro Sandia Citrus! Sabor Nuestro is Spanish and it means “Our taste” or “Our flavor” according to one of my readers on this blog. Now Sandia is also a Spanish word and it means watermelon. This Thirst Quencher Watermelon Citrus contains natural and artificial flavor / Saborizante natural y artificial. I hope this flavor tastes good as well.

Upon busting the cap, there’s an aroma that smelled like watermelon flavored candy coming out from the bottle. By looking at the color of this drink, you could tell the drink itself was made from watermelon flavored powder mixing with water because it wasn’t that natural. The texture was same as other regular Gatorade sports drinks. As for the taste, the very first sip tasted a bit sour and there weren’t any obvious flavors that you could recognize. After couple sips, you could sense the light watermelon flavor started to show up. Also, there’s a subtle sour taste after you swallow down the sip for aftertaste. The whole flavor transition was from light sweet watermelon flavor to subtle tart taste at the end. The drink was pretty smooth, clean and pleasant to drink. Even though the aroma smelled like watermelon flavored candy, but the taste was a lot better than the candy. Also, it wasn’t watery like other flavors.

The ingredients for this Gatorade G Series Thirst Quencher Watermelon Citrus include: Water, Sucrose, Dextrose, Citric Acid, Natural and Artificial flavor, Salt, Sodium Citrate, Monopotassium Phosphate, Gum Arabic, Glycerol Ester of rosin, Red 40, Yellow 5, Yellow 6 and blue 1.

Overall, the watermelon citrus flavor tasted not bad and if you are a regular Gatorade drinker, then you might want to try out this flavor. It didn’t have a strong aftertaste like some of the Gatorade drinks. If you like the real watermelon fruit, then this flavor might not live up to your expectation incase you want to try it out.
