This Naked Juice smoothie is made out of six different fruits and they are all one hundred percent natural juice. It is 35% fewer calories than other Naked Juice smoothies. This flavor was introduced by Naked Juice couple months ago and it helps to cut the calories and provide electrolytes. Since everyone is selling coconut water related beverages, I guess Naked Juice is trying to get into that as well. Is there really coconut water taste in the smoothie?

The color of this smoothie is actually a bit different than the pictures they show on ads because it is more close to light red, not close to pink. It looks like green vegetables mixed with carrots. The texture is very smooth, clean and thick. Upon busting the bottle cap, you are greeted by a lightly sweetened fresh fruit aroma coming out from the ordinary bottle. The first couple sips are hard to describe because the moment your tongue gets the sip, it tastes sweet in the beginning, but then suddenly gets the sour taste. After awhile, the sweet taste kindly showed up and reduces the sour taste. There are six fruit flavors in this smoothie, but you could only recognize the peach and guava flavors. As for other flavors, they are just for show I guess and maybe that’s why they call it peach guava smoothie. Some how, I feel like I’m drinking vegetable juice instead of fruit smoothie. It tastes a bit thick with some watery, but not totally thick where there’s no liquid at all. The peach flavor was the most obvious flavor in all six of them and the least flavor is the coconut water. Nonetheless, the taste is very refreshing, smooth and easy to drink. The sweetness of the smoothie was very well balanced because if you add a lot of fruits together, it will make the smoothie very sweet. There’s the dryness feeling in your mouth after you finish the smoothie.

For those who care about healthy drinks, this peach guava smoothie with coconut water contains 100 calories, 40mg sodium and 410mg potassium. Also, it is made from a combination of guava, coconut water, peach, mango, orange and apple. Four of the fruits have the same amount of juice to be part of this smoothie and the other two is a bit less than the previous four. In addition, there’s no sugar added, no preservatives, non-GMO, gluten free and vegan. It has vitamin A, C, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium and Manganese.

Overall, I love this juice smoothie drink because not only it tastes great, but also the health benefits that you can gain from this smoothie. One bottle of Naked Juice with a bagel would be a fine breakfast to have. I can’t wait to try the other smoothie with coconut water.

From being a musician to tea shop owner, sounds fun to me. I found this green tea with ginseng in whole food market and after doing a bit of research, I found out that Teany was started as healthy tea shop serving healthy and tasty tea to the locals, but when they found out the commercial iced-teas were either too sweet or not sweet enough, they decided to come up an iced-tea that fits in between. The sweetener that they used to provide the effect was the organic cane juice. By the way, the Teany idea was shared over breakfast between to musicians.

The design of the label is simple and to the point by using green and white color. Upon busting the cap, there’s a lightly sweetened tea aroma coming out from the bottle and it was quite refreshing as well. The color of this beverage is light brownish and it’s just like the other normal tea beverages that you drink everyday. The texture of this Teany tea beverage is also similar to other tea beverages on the market which is clean and smooth, without any small tea leave particles at the bottom of the beverage. As for the first couple sips, you could only taste the very lightly sweetened tea flavor. I was expecting the tea to be a bit sweetener because normally a tea with ginseng added used to be sweet. As you drink more, normally tea flavors get added up and make your mouth full of tea aroma, but not in this case. Both sweetness and tea flavors were very well balanced. The taste is similar to the Gold Peak Tea, but less sweet. There’s no aftertaste for this Teany beverage that you’d normally find in other tea drinks.

For those who are concerned about the health benefits, this Teany green tea with ginseng beverage contains 45 calories, 10g of sugar, and 11g of Carbs. The ingredients that they used to make this tea beverage are: Premium brewed green tea using filtered water, organic evaporated cane juice, natural flavors, citric acid, and panax ginseng root extract.

Over all, this Teany tea tasted great and if you are into tea beverages, this one should be on your list to try. This tea came out couple years ago and it’s based in New York. So, it might be hard for you to find it. Also, if you are in New York, you might want to visit their tea shop at: teany café 90 Rivington Street, New York, NY 10002

Refresh and re-thrive! Haiti Hope Mango Lime-Aid! For every mango lime-aid sold, 100% of the profits will directly to Haiti Hope project. The project is administered by TechnoServe and what they do is to help developing countries build viable business. As for this Haiti Hope Project, they want to help Haitian farmers to create a sustainable mango industry in Haiti. So if you are still thinking to help people in Haiti, you can purchase a bottle of Odwalla Haiti Hope Mango Lime-Aid drink.

In a way, the bottle design is cute and stylish. The hand logo and use of the colors makes the label very attractive. Upon twisting the cap, you are greeted by a mix aroma of mango and Lime coming out from the bottle. You could actually smell both mango and lime scent at the same time. The color of this beverage is yellow and it’s just like the other mango beverages that are out there on the market. The texture of this Haiti Hope beverage is very clean, smooth and cloudy. First couple sips were all sweet mango taste and it was very refreshing. In the beginning, I thought the combination of mango and lime will make the drink a bit sour based on my past experience, but it turns out to be very tasty and mango flavor wasn’t overly strong either. Even thought the dominate taste was mango, but there’s actually a subtle lime taste after your mouth process the sip. The sweetness of this Haiti Hope drink wasn’t overly sweetened either and the flavors were well balanced with the sweet taste. There’s no aftertaste for this Haiti Hope Project.

For those who are concerned about the health benefits, this Haiti Hope Mango Lime-Aid beverage contains 110 calories, 22g of sugar, and 26g of Carbs. Vitamins included in this juice beverage are Vitamin A and Calcium. The ingredients used to make this juice are water, Mango Puree, Organic Evaporated Cane Juice and Lime Juice.

For those who like to eat mango and do not want to get your hand dirty peeling it, then this might be your alternative to get the fresh mango taste and flavor that you want. I love the taste of this flavor and even if you are not into mango, you should probably give it try. By buying this beverage, you are contributing to the Haiti Hope project.

Since the Blackberry Hibiscus with Rooibos flavored Holistics tasted great, I thought I’d give another shot for Adina’s Holistics Herbal Elixir beverages and see if there are other unique tastes being created by using different flavor combinations. I grabbed a bottle of cranberry grapefruit with Goji because I’ve tried many herbal soups with Goji before and wonder how it will taste with fruits. According to the Adina Drink No Evil, Goji is for health and wellness. Unleash the Monkey!

The design of the glass bottle is quite stylish and elegant. The monkey character and stylish fonts of the words makes the label very attractive. The moment you removed the cap, you are greeted by a cranberry aroma coming out from the glass bottle, but not much of grapefruit scent. The color of this organic beverage is light red, similar to most of the berry beverages that are out there on the market. The texture of this Adina beverage is very clean, smooth and fresh. My reaction after first couple sips was “This monkey drink tastes good!” It was very refreshing and you could actually sense the existence of berry flavor right away where other beverages you had to chuck down 1/4 before you could tell if the flavors in the drink. The sweetness of the drink did not adds up and it wasn’t overly sweetened either. It has this crisp fruit flavor taste to it and the flavors were well balanced with the sweetness, but you could only taste the cranberry flavor, not much of grapefruit flavor. As for the Goji flavor, normally it tastes sour by itself if you add purely boiled water to it, but since it’s mixed with other fruits, you couldn’t really taste it. There’s no aftertaste for this monkey beverage.

The word Goji is translated from the sound of Chinese Pinyin Gou Qi and it is also known as wolfberry, medlar, mede berry, etc. Not only this Goji can be used as a medicine, but also can be used for cooking. For those who might have heard of herbal soup that Chinese people make, especially in Hong Kong, they put tree skins, Goji and other grass into the soup so that it will enhances your body health. Anyway, this Holistics Elixir Cranberry Grapefruit with Goji contains 60 calories, 15g sugar, 15g Carbs and 5mg of sodium. The organic herbal blends in this beverage includes: Ginseng Root Xxtract, Gotu kola extract, White tea, Astragalus root extract, Eleuthero root extract and Tulsi leaf extract. Other ingredients includes: Organic Brewed Tea, Organic sugar,Natural grapefruit cranberry goji flavors, Citric acid, Ginseng, Pectin, etc. Assume that you will get the health and wellness benefits from drinking this beverage.

Overall, I love the taste and I think it’s better than the Blackberry Hibiscus with Rooibos flavor even thought blackberry was tasty. Which flavor should I try next?

Couple months ago, Jamba Juice introduced their Superfruit platform newly added Yumberry flavor to the public and offer customers three different ways to experience the Yumberry flavor. One of the choices is to buy a Super Yumberry Classic Smoothie and the other one is to order a Yumberry Topper Ideal Meal. I choose the third option which is Berry Yumberry All Fruit Smoothie. Before I went to the Jamba Juice store, I saw their new video about Cheeseburger chill smoothie and I thought I should give it a try even thought it looked nasty. Well, it turns out to be a joke.

I tried to smell the smoothies and see if there’s any aroma coming out from the smoothie when I first got it and there’s no specific fruit aroma, but instead it has a light fresh fruit scent. The color of the smoothie is close to dark red and the texture itself was very smooth and thick with small pieces of fruit skins. For the first couple sips, you couldn’t really taste any true flavors because of the cold icy taste and the sweet taste wasn’t that obvious to recognize too, but the tart taste was very memorable. The Yumberry taste in the smoothie was very light and I guess they either didn’t add enough Yumberry juice or they added to much other fruit flavors. The more you sip, especially when smoothie starts to become watery, the sharp tart taste gets stronger. When your mouth processes the sip, it starts with the light sweet taste, and then you get the strong tart taste. Not only the Yumberry taste was very light, but also I couldn’t taste other flavors like peaches, mangos or blueberries that are in the smoothie. By the way, your mouth gets even more sourness taste when the smoothie becomes juice.

The nutrition facts for this medium size or original size Jamba Juice Berry Yumberry is that it contains 320 calories, 60g of sugar, 79g of carbohydrates, 730mg of Potassium, 20mg of Sodium and 2g of protein in a 22 fl oz container. The amount of calories is almost equal to one McDonalds McChicken. However, All Fruit Berry Yumberry has Vitamin A, B6, B12, C, E and D. Not only it contains multi vitamins, but also has calcium, iron, copper, zinc, folate etc.

Overall this smoothie is not bad, but the price is way too high for this medium Berry Yumberry smoothie. I’d rather make my own smoothie for a price of $5.99 because I can add more different kind of fruits to it and the flavor might be good better as well. Also, comparing yumberry to McDonalds Real Fruit Smoothie, personally I will choose the Jamba Juice because it has more real fruit freshness in it and it’s close to what a smoothie should be like in terms of the texture.

If you work in a stressful environment or living in a stressful life, then this Neuro Bliss might be for you because according to Drink Neuro, this is a delicious drink designed to enhance your mood, improves your memory, and eliminate stress without affecting your energy levels. Not sure by just drinking one bottle will work, but I thought I should give it a try because the Neuro Trim I tried tasted pretty good. If Neuro Bliss is perfect for anyone who wishes to reduce their anxiety, then this can be used for people who are nervous during interviews, robbery, dating, public speaking, exams, and meet the parents.

Upon twisting the uniquely design cap, there’s a lightly sweetened soda like scent coming out from the bottle and it was refreshing too. The color of this healthy beverage looks similar to soy milk that you see on the supermarket shelves and with similar texture as well. The taste for the first couple sips were close to diet soda with a bit of recognizable sweet lychee flavor. As you drink more, it appears you could only taste the sweet taste, but as your mouth processes the drink, there’s a subtle sour taste at the end of your tongue. The sweetness is definitely tastes different than other beverage that has sweet taste because the use of crystalline fructose. After drinking half bottle of Neuro Bliss, the taste was still as fresh as the first time you tried. There’s no aftertaste in this drink that you would normally find in other functional drinks. By the way,not only the carbonation in this healthy beverage makes it fun to drink, but also adds a crisp effect to the taste.

For health benefits, it is for adults only and you shouldn’t be drinking this beverage if you are pregnant or nursing. This Neuro Bliss contains 35 calories and 9g of sugar for each 14.5 fl oz bottle. The supplements that will help you to enhance mood, improves memory, increase ability to handle stress, regulates mood and improves circulation are Acetyl-L-Carnitine, L-Phenylalanine, 5-Hydroxytryptophan, L-Theanine, Elutherococcus Senticosus, Rhodiola Rosea, and Ginkgo Biloba. As I have mentioned before, they used crystalline fructose as sweetener for the beverage. Other ingredients used for this beverage are: thiamin HCL, folate, malic acid, riboflavin, etc.

Overall, I like this Neuro Bliss even thought I didn’t feel any effects after drinking it. I was hoping that Neuro Bliss will bring me to the stress free land, but I guess one bottle couldn’t tell the difference or maybe I should have tried this drink under extreme stress. I’m looking forward to try the rest Neuro functional beverages. I hope they will give me the same impression as this one.

I have tried two flavors of One Natural Experience (O.N.E.) active coconut water so far and this grape berry flavor is their third flavor in the active coconut water line. As of right now, it appears the grape berry is the last flavor in active line. Previously, each lemon lime and cranberry grapefruit flavors have unique taste to it in its own way and both were very tasty and refreshing. The functional ingredients in all three flavors are the same, they are all for active bodies and minds. Also, they all have the same amount calories and amount of sugar in each flavor.

Upon busting the cap, there was a light sweet berry aroma with touch of coconut scent coming out from the Tetra Pak container and some how I couldn’t recognize any sign of grape scent from the container at all even thought the flavor says grape berry. As for the color, when you pouring it out, you could tell its light purple color, but when they added up in a container, it looked like light red color and the texture was clean and smooth. First couple sips were a mix of coconut water flavor with a bit of light berry taste. When you drink more, the coconut water flavor taste gets stronger and the grape berry flavor seems fading away as you kept on drinking it. The sweet and sour tastes combination balanced very well with coconut water even thought they were very light. When the coconut water was in your mouth, it gives you a subtle sweet taste and after you swallow down the liquid, it gives you a subtle sour taste. As result, it gives you a feeling like you were drinking sweet and sour coconut water. The taste was very refreshing and pleasant to drink. Just like the other two O.N.E Active coconut water flavors, there’s no aftertaste at all for this flavor.

The nutrition for all three flavors is the same. Again, the functional herbs ingredients include: Coconut water, Ginkgo Biloba, Panax Ginseng, Catuaba Bark, Calcium and Antioxidants. They help you to increase energy, mental focus, stamina, bone health, and detox your body. The calorie contained in this coconut water is also 40 and it also has 8g of sugar. The sweetness of this coconut water beverage is coming from an ingredient called Stevia. Since they used coconut water from young green coconut, there’s a lot of nutrition like potassium, magnesium, sodium and calcium from the coconut water.

Overall, I really like O.N.E Active coconut water, not because of the taste but the ingredients that comes with it. I hope they will come out new flavors or new coconut water lines.

This is Spartos! Couple days ago, I received few samples of Spartos protein water to try from a California-based company called Spartan Beverages. The Spartos is the first all-natural protein water on the market today and it provides top-quality protein, vitamins, electrolytes, and antioxidants. Currently, they have three different flavors- Goddess sugar free radiant raspberry, Spartos blackberry boost and Spartos sugar free grape guardian. They said by drinking it all day can increase your physical, mental, and emotional health. Can it really help your emotional health?

Spartos Protein Water Sugar Free Grape guardian

There’s a lightly sweetened grape aroma coming out from the bottle when you open it for the first time. The color of the water beverage matches with the grape color which is close to dark red and as for the texture; it’s smooth, clean and cloudy. The moment I had the first sip, my reaction was “Oh man, what the hell is this flavor” It feels like I was drinking tap water beverage. But as you drink more and start to actually taste the protein water, you will realize that it has different tastes in it. When the liquid was your mouth, you won’t taste anything but fresh and cool water. However, once you swallow the liquid down, first you taste the sourness from the grape, then there’s a subtle sweet taste from the Stevia sweetener. Lastly, you get the feeling of dryness in your tongue and throat. It’s pretty awesome that you could get to have three effects in one sip. Also, the taste was very refreshing and easy to drink because of the smoothness. As for the grape flavor, the taste wasn’t heavy, but it’s enough to recognize the existent of the flavor in the drink. Both sweet and sour taste did not add up as you drink the protein water and after half bottle, I kind like the smell of the beverage because it reminds me of Champagne that I had in a wedding ceremony while back. Since this is a protein water beverage, you could actually sense the whey protein in the beverage every time you sip it.

Spartos Sugar Free – The First All Natural Protein Water – Grape Guardian (Pack of 24)

Goddess Protein Water Sugar Free Radiant Raspberry

Before you drink the beverage, it is recommended that you should shake it first so that the white stuff at the bottom gets mixed well with the drink. Upon busting the cap, there’s a radiant raspberry flavor coming out from the bottle and it’s refreshing too. As for the color of this sugar free protein water, it’s pink because it represents the Goddess I guess. The texture was also smooth and cloudy like grape guardian, but some how appeared more feminine. The first couple sips taste kind of bland, but as you drink more, you starts to pick up the sourness in the protein water and little bit of sweetness from Stevia. Again, it tastes like diet drinks. When you sip the protein water and hold it in your mouth for couple seconds, you won’t taste anything, but after you swallow down the liquid, you will feel the sourness in your throat. However, it’s not that sour and the dryness feeling was also not as heavy as the grape guardian. The sweet taste was a bit lighter and with the subtle sweet taste, it makes a perfect taste. As for this drink, the whey protein wasn’t as strong as the grape guardian either. Pink reminds me of the Aerosmiths pink song: “Pink – as the bing on your cherry”

Goddess – The First Sugar Free All Natural Protein Water – Radiant Raspberry (Pack of 24)

Spartos Protein Water Blackberry Boost

I can’t quite smell the blackberry aroma coming from the bottle after I open it for the first time. Even I did sniff like a dog and I still couldn’t smell the aroma, except the lightly sweetened vitamin scent. The color of the drink is more like light red and the texture is same as the previous two flavors. For the fist couple sips, it has this light sour watery taste to it. As you drink more, you could sense the subtle sweet taste a bit easier than the previous flavors in the protein water, but it has the same effect as previous ones. The dryness feeling in your mouth makes it very uncomfortable to keep on drinking it and the only way to get rid of that feeling of dryness was by drinking continuously with out long breaks between each sip. As for the blackberry flavor, you could recognize it a little bit, but not that obvious and it was blended very well with other tastes which make this flavor very unique. The sourness in this drink was less compares to the other two flavors. Why? Maybe it’s the cane sugar. This blackberry boost tastes close to other vitamin waters that are out there on the market, but it’s more towards fruit juice flavor taste and more pleasant to drink.

Spartos – The First All Natural Protein Water – Blackberry Boost (Pack of 24)

Spartos natural protein water provides proteins, electrolytes, antioxidants and multiple vitamins. Not sure if you drink Spartos will make you become Spartans, but lets see what they put in the protein water. The ingredients for both Spartos grape guardian protein water and the Goddess radiant raspberry protein water contains Natural color, Natural flavors, Phosphoric acid, Vitamin A, B9, B12, C, D, E, Calcium lactate, Magnesium Ascorbic and the sweetener stevia. Also, both are gluten and soy free. The only difference between the two flavors is that the Goddess has the extra iron ingredient in it. As for the calories, the radiant raspberry flavor has 8 and the grape guardian flavor has 15. Not only do they have low calories, but they are also sugar free. However, the Goddess has less amount of protein than the Spartos grape guardian. I guess the guardians need more protein than the Goddess. As for the third flavor blackberry boost, it has 9g of sugar, 50 calories and 9g of carbohydrate. The ingredients are very similar to the two flavors mentioned above.

Never thought fruit flavored protein water can be tasted that good. After trying all these three flavors, personally I like the Goddess because raspberry tastes better than grape and blackberry. I would recommend people to try this protein water because not only it tastes good but also provide people with an alternative to the functional drinks currently on the market. Thanks for the drinks Spartos!
