Crush your thirst with Crush Blue Raspberry soda drink! It’s so hot outside and I want to see if this soda can really crush my thirst. So, I bought one from a local supermarket and I started drinking it on the way home because weather was just too hot. Anyway, for those who are not familiar with Crush, “Crush is part of Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Inc. an integrated beverage business marketing more than 50 beverage brands throughout North America.”

You could tell that there’s a strong berry scent coming out from the bottle when you open it for the first time and you could smell a subtle lightly sweetened aroma as well. The color of this Crush Blue Raspberry was similar to Pepsi Blue drink and if you never had a chance to see the Pepsi Blue, you could just Google it. As for the texture, it’s just like any other regular soda beverages that you normally drink. Maybe it contains a little bit more carbonation than other drinks. The very first sip tasted pretty awesome it was well balanced between the sweet taste and the berry flavor. After couple more sips, you could sense the artificially flavor in the taste as it indicated on the bottle. The taste reminds me of those long narrow popsicles that I used to have when I was younger. After couple finishing couple more cups, on top of my tongue started to appear in blue color. The sweet taste also increased a bit more than the raspberry flavor and there’s a subtle tart taste at the end after you swallow down the sip. The dryness lingers around in your mouth quite a bit for the aftertaste.

The ingredients for this Crush Blue Raspberry Soda drink include: Carbonated Water, High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS), Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate (Preservative), Natural and Artificial Flavors, and Blue 1.  There’s 110 calories per serving and it contains no juice. Also, it is caffeine free.

Overall, the taste was unique in a way and comparing to other crush flavored soda drinks, this one is one of the good taste ones. You can try it out if ever see one because it’s available for limited time only. I think 2 liters of this Blue Raspberry is enough for me.
