Piña Colada is back! I found this drink in a local supermarket by surprise because I didn’t expect it would appear in that kind of store. AriZona brings back their popular virgin cocktail Piña Colada by popular demand and it’s made with Coco Lopez. The drink is available in a 20 ounce blue bottle. Why blue? Well, the new blue bottle is to protect the natural antioxidant properties in their beverages from light. It does not contain preservative, artificial color and artificial flavor.

Upon busting the cap, there’s a refreshing creamy kind of coconut aroma coming out from the 20 ounce blue PET bottle with subtle lightly sweetened pineapple scent. It’s so pleasant when you inhale it. The color of this AriZona Piña Colada seems similar to milk color but it’s slightly lighter when you look at it in close range. The texture looked clean, smooth, and cloudy with a very tin oily layer on top of the surface. As for the taste, the very first sip tasted sweet and sour. There wasn’t any recognizable flavor that you could detect. After couple more sips, you could sense the coconut flavor in the drink but it wasn’t strong. When your mouth processes the sip, it hit you with the sweet taste first and then the tart taste after you swallow it down. The flavor wasn’t that creamy and it’s actually pretty smooth to drink. The sweet and tart tastes were balanced just right because neither one was overly added. Also, the coconut flavor blended perfectly with pineapple to create this awesome taste. The aftertaste was just a bit of dryness feeling in your mouth.

The ingredients for this AriZona Piña Colada Virgin Cocktail natural flavored beverage include: Filtered Water, High Fructose Corn Syrup (Glucose-Fructose Syrup), Natural Dairy Base (Water, Skim Milk, Sugar, Cream, Pectin, Lactic Acid, Cellulose Gel), Coconut Cream, Pineapple Juice from Concentrate, Citric Acid, Natural Flavors, Sodium Carboxymethycellulose, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Sucralose (Splenda Brand).

Overall, I like this drink because of the balance taste. Even thought it uses HFCS, the overall taste didn’t get that much effect. If you can find one, I think you should try it.
