Unleash the monkey! Drink No Evil! In the past, I have tried Adina’s Cranberry Grapefruit with Goji and Blackberry Hibiscus with Rooibos, both tasted awesome. The other day, while trying to catch their two new Zero flavors with no luck in Whole Foods Market, I saw this Coconut Guava with Lychee flavor and I thought I should give it a try. On the bottle, it prints “ Adina Holistics are blended with adaptogenic herbal extracts known to expert a normalizing influence on the body. The Chinese have long recognized the health benefits of lychee to enhance overall health and longevity.”

Every time I see that monkey on the bottle label, it makes me happy because the monkey is smiling. After busting the cap, there’s a some what mixed sweetened aroma of coconut and lychee coming out from the stylish glass bottle. As for the Guava, there wasn’t any recognizable scent from the bottle. The color of this organic beverage was similar to the cloud in the sky and the texture was also cloudy and smooth. The first couple sips tasted very smooth, easy to drink and refreshing. From my past experience, coconut flavored beverages used to be very sweet and same for the lychee drinks as well, but for this Adina drink, it’s just perfect. None of the flavor dominates the other and it wasn’t overly sweetened. When your mouth processes the sip, you first get the light sweet taste and then you feel the subtle tart taste at the end after you swallow down the sip. The coconut and lychee flavors were definitely recognizable after couple sips. As you drink more, the taste just becomes like the way Emeril Lagasse saying Bam! Bam!  I didn’t detect any aftertaste!

The ingredients for this Adina Coconut Guava with Lychee drink includes:  Water, Fair Trade Sugar, Citric Acid, Natural Coconut Guava Lychee Flavor with other natural flavors, Pectin, Calcium Lactate Pentahydrate, Magnesium Lactate, DL-Alpha-Tocopheryl Acetate, Xanthan Gum, Salt Organic coconut (Cocos Nucifera) Fruit Extractive, Organic Lemongrass Extractives, Organic Tulsi (Ocimum Sanctum) Leaf Extractives. The calorie for this 14 FL Oz is 110.

I have tried other Adina Holistics herbal elixir flavors before and so far this is my favorite. One problem with Adina drinks is that it’s very hard to find around where I live. I have to take one hour train ride to get to the place where I can purchase Adina Drink no evil drinks. I guess it’s true that monkey is hard to catch. Now, I can’t wait to catch their two new Zero Adina drinks.
