Activate Drinks A Turn for the Better

Twist cap to release vitamins! I received two samples of Activate drinks for tasting the other day.  The cap looked very interesting and the overall design was pretty stylish as well. According to Activate, “By storing the active ingredients inside the unique cap, separate from the water, the ingredients stayed powerful, fresh and offered the convenient, all-in-one delivery method we were seeking.” Also, it contains zero grams of sugar, no preservatives and it’s naturally sweetened with Stevia.

Activate Antioxidant Blueberry Pomegranate Drink

The moment twist the top portion of the cap, the could see the powder like active ingredients fall into the water below and the color of the water immediately started to change to some what bluish color. The texture becomes cloudy in stead of clear view. There’s a strong berry aroma coming out from the bottle right after you twisted the top portion of the cap and the scent remains strong even after you pour it into a glass cup. As for the taste, the first sip tasted lightly sour with a subtle berry taste at the end after you swallow it down. After couple more sips, the sour taste got stronger and the berry flavor remain the same. There was no sign of pomegranate flavor in the drink what so ever. The dominate flavor tends to be the sour taste with subtle berry flavor. Even though it was easy to drink, but there’s a dryness feeling in your mouth after drinking 4 oz of the drink.

Activate Multivitamin Lulo Pear Drink

The process of opening the drink is the same as the previous flavor. The color and texture effect were the same as well after you twisted the top portion of the cap. The aroma that stands out when you twisted the cap was the pear scent and there’s no sign of Lulo aroma. As for the taste, the first sip was light too even though you shake it after twisting the colored top cap. The flavor that appeals the most was the pear flavor and again the lulo was nonexistent. As you drink more, the pear flavor started to be the dominate flavor and occasionally you could detect the subtle lulo flavor. After a while, dryness feeling started show up in your mouth just like the previous flavor.

Activate Multivitamin Antioxidant Drinks Facts

Overall, I like the Activate Antioxidant Blueberry Pomegranate better than the Activate Multivitamin in terms of the taste. This could be an alternative if you can’t find the drink you usually drink. It tasted just not that smooth for me and the dryness bothers me a bit.
