7-Eleven Exclusive Fierce Green Apple Gatorade

2

I discovered this drink by accident. I was going to buy the one dollar Pizza slice from 7-Eleven and just happened to see the drink banner on their front door so I thought I give it a try.  On the 7-Eleven website, “Put your mom on speed dial and then tear into new 7-Eleven EXCLUSIVE Fierce Green Apple Gatorade. It’s fierce, people. You’re gonna need the moral support…trust us. Right now pick up two 32 oz. bottles for just $3.” Are you going to buy it?

Gatorade Fierce Green Apple

There’s a strong apple like aroma coming out from the bottle after you twisted it open and if you smell it closely, it was similar to the green apple flavored candy, the very sour ones if you know what I’m talking about. Also, it didn’t smell like a Gatorade drink at all. That’s a surprise!  The color of the drink reflects the flavor and the texture was just simple liquid without any substances.  As for the taste, the very first sip tasted light with subtle tart taste at the end after you swallow down the sip. After couple more sips, the tartness seemed to be increasing as you drink on, but the level of apple flavor taste remained same. The sweetness of this drink wasn’t that obvious. After a while, the green apple flavor sort of showed up because it wasn’t that convincing.  At the end, just like any other Gatorade drink, it tasted smooth and easy to drink.

Overall, I wasn’t expecting this drink to taste exactly as the flavor stated on the label, but it was close to green apple flavored candy with less sourness.

I believe Gatorade has used this flavor as a special release a few times throughout my life; I’m always on the hunt for it. The appearance is pure green science. The taste is just like a caramel apple lollipop minus the caramel. This is one of my favorite drinks of all time and I’m thrilled it has attained semi-permanence at my local Vons as a “fierce” flavor.
